GFK2023
Go for Kogei 2023
Go for Kogei is a celebration of craft (kogei) in the Hokuriku region, which consists of Toyama, Ishikawa, and Fukui Prefectures. This year marks the festival's fourth edition. In 2021 and 2022, the festival's main exhibitions, which were held in local temples and shrines, drew more than 30,000 visitors over two years. For 2023, the festival will feature three exhibition sites along the Fugan Canal in downtown Toyama—a "city of canals." Visitors can move between venues by boat, enjoying the passing scenery and viewing a wide variety of works spanning the genres of craft, contemporary art, and art brut. This year's exhibition title is Material Imagination and Etiological Narrative—Material, Data, Fantasy. Twenty-six artists are slated to participate.

Further details will be announced at a press conference scheduled for Thursday, July 6th from 10:30 a.m. at the Kudan Kaikan in Tokyo. To attend, please submit an inquiry using the contact information provided below.
