Tainan Art Museum| “Skin and Viscera: Self, World, and Time” Exhibition Opens!
2025.10.03
While Go for Kogei has been primarily based in the Hokuriku region of Japan, it has also been expanding its activities internationally. We are pleased to co-organize the upcoming exhibition Skin and Viscera: Self, World, and Time, to be held from October 3, 2025, to January 18, 2026, at the invitation of the Tainan Art Museum in Taiwan. Starting from sensations arising from the skin and internal organs, this exhibition intends to connect the self, world, and time. By embracing bodily contact and sensory experiences, it adopts the resultant mysterious and symbolic expression to explore how the self exists today and how it engages with the world. Drawing on critical theories and ideas in modern art, the exhibition features ten Japanese female artists of a new generation—carrying forward an innovative artistic spirit from the legendary artists such as Kusama Yayoi.
