Founded in 1793, this Echizen lacquerware lacquerware studio has been in business for eight generations. Based on the techniques handed down from generation to generation, the company has launched its own brands, “aisomo cosomo” (since 2009), “Owan-ya UCHIDA” (since 2012), and “RIN & CO.” (since 2020), all of which propose lacquerware that fits the modern lifestyle. In addition, a direct-managed store was opened at the head office studio. In addition to its own brand, the shop offers 1,000 different types of professional-use bowls and other products made since the Edo period, and is dedicated to promoting the culture of lacquer and bowls.
