A kiln of painting Kutani ware porcelain, located in Komatsu, Ishikawa Prefecture, has been producing pottery for about 110 years, inheriting various techniques of Kutani ware since its first owner, Shosaku Yoshida, opened the kiln in 1906. One of his specialties is the technique of gold application, which has been used for generations since the first generation. Minori III is a certified holder of a National Important Intangible Cultural Property (a living national treasure) for the “Yuri-Kinsai” technique. Yukio IV has inherited the tradition while creating a new style of expression in keeping with the times.
